As a working artist I am always looking for Art Opportunities to exhibit and sell my work. It is always good to have friends and connections who introduce you to new exhibiton opportunities. However, the artist opportunities one finds as an artist usually come with an entry fee. There are many without any fees and those are hard to find. I would like to post those art opportunites that 1. require no entry fees 2. no membership requirements 3. not restricted to local artists and I would like you to use them and share new ones you stumble upon. I have kept some art opportunities with deadlines that have passed as an example of art opportunities I am interested in promoting.
Please e-mail information about free art opportunities and I will post them here. Add subject "Free Art Opportunities". Thank you.

Iconic "American Gothic" by Grant Wood is currently in the Cincinnati Art Museum. As a way to promote this event, the museum invited the public to send in their pictures re-enacting the famous pose of the farmer with a fork pitch. The deadline has passed but I would have loved the chance to have entered the contest. For more information visit Cincinnati Art Museum.

My submission uploaded just before the deadline
